Events Happen! Busy Hot July for DCGOP

Whew – was July hot or what? The Delta County Republican Party Central Committee (DCRCC) closed the month of July out with quite a few events. A big shout out to all our fantastic volunteers for making it all possible! Thank you! Thank you! We sincerely appreciate your dedication to the local party.

On July 3rd the DCRCC volunteers, as well some of our elected officials, participated in the Annual Cherry Days in Paonia. We had a great turn out for the parade. We felt so proud as crowd cheered as we passed. They loved our float! We even had patriotic music that made it even more special.

After the fun parade the volunteers took position at our republican booth in the park. The booth was an over whelming success as well. We sold a lot of Republican and Trump gear – flags, bumper stickers, and pins. The most popular items were the “2nd Amendment” flags and the “Don’t Blame Me, I voted for Trump” flags. Patriots were thrilled with their new flags.

Another popular item for sale at the booth were the 2021 rifle raffle tickets. For $20 the ticket holder has a chance to win one or two great rifles. The proceeds fund the DCRCC’s college scholarship program. This year we gave awarded two $2500 scholarships to fantastic students from Delta County high schools. These scholarships are much needed for the hefty college expenses students now incur. The DCRCC is proud to be able to assist our great Delta County students. Tickets are going fast! If you would like to purchase tickets please contact one of the volunteers listed below. The winning tickets will be drawn on September 18, 2021 at our fundraising event the Lincoln Day Dinner. Need not be present to win.

We finished out the day at the Ranch Rodeo in Hotchkiss. Members from the DCRCC helped take in tickets for the rodeo. Another huge success. Thank you to the Rodeo for allowing us to help as well as your generous donation.

July 15th, we hosted a luncheon for Danielle Neuschwanger at Daveto’s Italian restaurant. Danielle gave a great presentation and was well received by those that attended. However, the turnout was lower than we had hoped. Danielle was very gracious in saying, “It is quality, not quantity that is important.”

I am hoping that our next luncheon August 12th with Greg Lopez will be better attended. It is never to soon to learn about candidates.

July 24th, 2021, we participated in the Deltarado Days parade and had another booth in Cleland Park in Delta. Both were well attended.

Again, many thanks to our volunteers! We hope you consider becoming an active DCGOP volunteer. Please visit our Take Action page and sign up to subscribe to the website to stay updated on all our events and calls to actions.
